In this presentation, Gary Chan, the City of Walnut Creek, California, will share a case study presentation on how they were challenged to turn its many cumbersome and unreliable manual processes involved in 41 projects – ranging from Community Development to Public Services – into efficient and automated processes across the organization. Chan will discuss why the City turned to a Business Process Management (BPM) solution, Metastorm e-Work, and how the solution was integrated into existing Web-based systems. Chan will highlight the benefits Walnut Creek has experienced since implementation of e-Work, including improved tracking of its many critical tasks, accessibility to projects for all employees, and the elimination of the paper bottleneck that once cost the organization significant time and money. Attendees will learn how their enterprises can also have greater visibility into project status and more efficiently coordinate complex projects with a BPM solution, such as e-Work, in place. With e-Work, the City will save significant time and money as it continues to automate processes across the enterprise.
