Experts Wanted

In response to the many requests we have received, BPMInstitute.org has taken on the initiative of forming Local Chapters and online SIG’s (Special Interest Groups).

At this time, we are currently surveying our members and visitors to gauge interest level and preferences for topics/locations etc.

Please take a moment to complete a brief survey to indicate your interest and we will get back to you with the latest updates and developments.

Some of the current results to-date are below.

The results from our Local Chapter Survey are positive:

• Across the board we are confirming that our members are interested in Local Chapters
• Most are interested in meeting on a quarterly basis as a participant versus a board member or president
• Topics visitors/members would like to see at Local Chapters include:
  • Networking
  • Training/Education/Knowledge Transfer
  • Presentations
  • Best Practices
  • Tools
  • Trends
  • Case Studies
  • Standards
  • Benchmarking
  • Collaboration
• Respondents showing the most interest in participating are managers, project managers and directors

This is very encouraging and supports moving forward with Local Chapters. However, our challenge is that geographical interest is quite fragmented and no one geography has a large enough concentration of interested participants.  We are close in several geographies, but we need a more people to raise their hands and say they will participate in a Local Chapter. 

The top five geographies include:

• Illinois
• Washington, DC
• Ohio
• California
• New York

Throughout 2008 we will continue to gauge people’s interest in Local Chapters and keep you posted.
