    Round Table Details

This session will address a method for managing a "Living Enterprise Architecture" (EA) over many years, based on a dynamic model, with content that is adaptable and growing as the business grows. The presentation will explain the importance of evolving and adapting an EA as the company and business modeling requirements grow.

Managing EA content in a repository environment with a dynamic model, with new strategic and non-strategic projects being initiated asynchronously is a challenge that requires full control of the releases of the EA, and significant program/project portfolio control. This requires a well established and accepted change management process that is followed by all users of the EA. A proven change management method will be discussed during the session. Effective EA definition and management requires that EA solutions provide some key functionality, and these will be discussed throughout the presentation.

EA is also a powerful enabler in the company. It shapes and defines corporate culture. It animates the mission statement, resulting in the alignment of real-time, real-world business activity with the overarching goals and strategies of the company.

This session will discuss how an EA can be developed and provide flexibility for business analysis and growth. The presentation will also address how to make the EA a persistent living set of vital business information, and will address the benefits a business can realize from their EA investments.
