    VIP Auto, Inc. has been using Avorcor's SOA4SCL (SOA for Supply-Chain and Logistics) to modernize their existing warehouse and distribution capabilities and to prepare their organization for integration with a new host system. This session will provide attendees with an overview of how SOA is being used in the real-world to enable incremental change with carefully calibrated impacts on the business in a way that enhances agility to modify business processes quickly and easily.

    JP Morgenthal, CEO, Avorcor

    JP Morgenthal is one of the leading thought-leaders in the SOA and Web Services space, but he has also been directly involved with the sales process for these technologies since their creation. Mr. Morgenthal was CTO for XMLSolutions/Vitria and Ikimbo and Chief Solutions Architect for Software AG. In addition, Mr. Morgenthal was a leading industry analyst on XML, Java and EAI. In each of these roles, Mr. Morgenthal directly participated in the sales process and often was instrumental in closing the sale. As Managing Director of Avorcor, Mr. Morgenthal runs the acquisition process for new service customers in the SOA market.

     

    Dan Grosz, Director of IT, VIP Auto

    Dan Grosz is Director of IT at VIP Parts, Tires and Service a 52 store retail automotive chain located across New England. At VIP, Dan is focused on rewiring the company’s technical infrastructure and business practices encompassing Point-of-Sale, Inventory Management, Replenishment, Distribution Center Operations, Human Resources, and Finance. With a business process management consulting background at Coopers & Lybrand Dan has also held senior Information Technology positions at Xerox, Timberland, Hit or Miss, and Syratech. Dan has over 20 years of experience in business process modeling and simulation, object oriented analysis and design, rapid application development, and legacy conversions.
