Case Study: Managing Process Across the Enterprise

Featuring: George Thomas, Enterprise Chief Architect - General Services Administration

This session will explore ‘semantic interoperability’ challenges and ‘model to integrate’ solutions for BPM in use and development at GSA. BP grammar and modeling formalisms from select GSA adopted industry standards will be presented as a framework for developing executable service oriented business process models that can be automatically deployed to commodity runtime infrastructures. An overview of GSA’s approach to Model Driven Architecture, our resulting analytical capabilities for BPM and IT Portfolio Management, current GSA project highlights that use or enable this approach (FMLoB, OSERA), and our use of related standards with Open Source and COTS modeling, meta-data management and runtime tools will be given.
