Now these frameworks provide real value to the EA organization in helping to classify and organize concepts and artifacts, but they provide little value to the enterprise overall. In other words, frameworks are great for building architecture, but the rest of the enterprise is interested in the delivery of architecture. EA can deliver value to different constituencies. Value upward toward management by supporting decision making and planning with enterprise wide information. Value outward toward development by supporting application analysis and design. Value downward by supporting common infrastructure with standards, process and governance. This presentation will describe how to turn EA into a service organization that delivers value, built on the foundation of a solid architectural framework.
