Workshop Description:
Keeping customers, attracting new customers, rapidly delivering
new products, providing consistent service through multiple channels
(branch office, internet, ATM, telephone) and meeting regulatory
requirements is a daunting pursuit of retail bankers. This
demanding proposition requires the continual development of a portfolio
differentiated financial services, which requires a significant
investment in transforming IT. Since business process management
(BPM), business rules management (BRM) and service-oriented architecture
(SOA) all support the practice of improving the efficiency and
effectiveness of any organization by automating and optimizing
the organization's business processes, they are key technology
components of initiatives to produce a more nimble bank. This
session will explore the use of BPM, BRM and SOA to support nimble
banking initiatives such as: Modernizing the Call Center Agent
Desktop, Multi-channel banking, Know Your Customer, Self-service
banking and Streamlining back-office processing.
