The Decision Model is a new Business Logic Framework that impacts not just technology trends but also business management practices.
It brings to the world of business rules a well-defined structure based on the inherent nature of logic, extended with integrity and normalization principles. This is similar to the concept to what the relational model brings to the world of data.
Larry Goldberg will start the workshop with his presentation: “The Decision Model – An Introduction and Recent Advances” followed by Ravi Singh who will share how Freddie Mac is using Decision Modeling to capture, organize and manage Business Logic to improve and enhance Data Quality, Business Requirements and Governance.
This is followed by a demonstration of Sapiens DECISION, a new enterprise-grade Business Decision Management System (BDMS) that incorporates all aspect of The Decision Model.

Larry has over forty years of experience in building technology based companies on three continents. Those companies focused on rules-based technologies and applications. He has played a primary architectural role in financial services, healthcare, supply chain, and property & casualty insurance. Larry is co-inventor of The Decision Model, serving as Engagement Manager for KPI Decision Modeling and Requirements Projects.
Larry is co-author of The Decision Model: A Business Logic Framework linking Business and Technology published by Taylor and Francis 2009. He is co-editor of The Business Rule Revolution: Running the Business the Right Way (HappyAbout.info 2007), on the editorial board of BPMInstitute.org and is the Editorial Director of the BDM Bulletin, a monthly e-publication of the BPMInstitute.org.

Tomer Srulevich joined Sapiens as VP Professional Services and Business Development for the Americas in October 2009. Prior to Sapiens, from 2004 till 2009, Mr. Srulevich served as Director of Business Development and Partnerships at SeaPass Solutions, an insurance software development company. Prior to that, Mr. Srulevich led the execution of large scale software projects for major US carriers. Mr. Srulevich has more than ten years of leadership experience in roles of accounts management, project management, and product analysis. Mr. Srulevich has a B.A degree in Computer Science from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzelia. |
