Will Case Management be complimentary or an alternative to BPM?

Will existing BPM vendors rise to the challenge of emerging OMG standards or will new vendors stake a claim and give BPM a run for its money with Case Management as an alternate or complimentary approach?

Case Management Modeling Notation (CMMN) is emerging as a new standard to address semi-structured, ad-hoc, dynamic processes that organizations are increasingly facing these days.

This workshop will explore the emerging OMG standards for Case Management and the morphing of BPM system vendors’ product features to meet the needs of Case Management applications. Can we expect new products and vendors to emerge or will the existing BPM suppliers provide adequate support for Case Management applications? We will also examine the role of Cloud-based delivery systems and their likely effect on Case Management solutions.

    Some BPM systems can provide most of the functionality needed for case management. See a demo of how one BPM system does this.
3:15pm - 4:00pm   Learn how Cloud technologies may affect how Case Management applications are built and run
    Cloud technologies could improve the interaction between case management, BPM and rules engine systems. Will this allow these systems work better together?
