Dr. Silver is an independent industry analyst and consultant specializing in BPM tools and technology. He provides licensable and customizable training on Process Modeling With BPMN. In addition, he provides extensive reports and commentary on BPM Suites, including the 2007 BPMS Report series available on the BPM Institute website, and the BPMS Watch blog (www.brsilver.com/wordpress).

He writes the monthly BPMS Watch column on bpminstitute.org and the Change Agent column for Intelligent Enterprise magazine. He was formerly vice president and service director at BIS Strategic Decisions, which became Giga Information Group (now part of Forrester Research).

	BPMS RFP/Requirments Review Description: Review client’s business and technical requirements (possibly part of a draft RFP) for a BPM Suite procurement, with detailed comments and recommendations.
	BPMS Product Short List Recommendation Description: Based on client’s business and technical requirements (possibly part of draft RFP) for a BPM Suite procurement, recommend a short list of 3-4 products for final selection.

	Process Modeling with BPMN Description: Traditionally, process modeling has relied on proprietary tools and methodologies, raising the cost and limiting shared understanding.  Today we have a powerful new process modeling standard, the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) from OMG, and an ever-increasing variety of modeling tools that support it.  BPMN looks a bit like traditional swimlane diagrams, but adds powerful new features that allow exception handling – the hidden cost of real-world business processes – to be modeled explicitly in the diagram.
