A question that may have many answers: What parts of a transformational Business Architecture would you show to the following people and why: The sponsoring business executive; A business analyst who is working with you; An executive of a business unit that will benefit from the transformation; An executive of a business unit that will be impacted by the transformation but will not see much benefit, if any, assume the executive is neutral to the transformation and you are trying to convince him/her to support it; An executive of a business unit that is hostile to the transformation; An IT executive who will have to implement parts of the transformation; An IT Architect; An HR manager. If you have a story to tell about any of these situations, please post it

For each type of audience (stakeholder), we will have to take into cognizance the scope, view and the level of abstraction of the Business Architecture. Scope will not change with audience as it is assumed that a particular audience is made privy to that portion of the BA that needs to be addressed with the relevant initiative. View will determine what selected column(s) of a Zachman framework row are exposed to the audience so that the pre-determined stake of the audience is justified. The level of audience and the rigor required in their role will decide the level of abstraction.
