I see a lot of discussion around Business Architecture (BA) initiatives these days. We all hear about various BA artifacts such as models of functions, processes, value streams, capabilities, organizations, and etc. and how important they are to the BA. My current BrainStorm article at http://www.bpminstitute.org/articles/article/article/the-business-archit... discusses my view on the “core artifact” of the Business Architecture. I would be interested in receiving everyone’s comments on this topic. For example, please consider:
1. What is the "core artifact" of the Business Architecture? 2. What is the source of any derivative BA models and their ability to integrate with other enterprise architectures (e.g. the data architecture)?

how do we make an impact in this role in my organisation.None of our competitors currently have a business architecture team.We need a clear line between architecture and analysis.
